A woman is fuming after she says she ordered Chinese food for she and her boyfriend, and he fed her portion to the dog while she was in the other room.

In a post shared to Reddit, the woman writes: “I order this man Chinese food because he is not feeling well and I just came home from a 10 hour shift. All I wanted was 1 egg roll. ONE. My boyfriend orders chicken noodle soup and 2 egg rolls, one for me and one for him.”

“The food arrives and I am occupied- currently doing my nails,” she continues. “I can hear him call my name from the living room. As I finish up my nails (probably 10 minutes after he calls me) I head to the living room to find NO egg roll! I look at him with complete confusion. He proceeds to tell me he gave [an] egg roll to the dog since it fell on the floor then proceeds to eat the other one plus the food he got as well.”

After learning what had become of the egg roll, the anonymous 27-year-old woman writes that she turned “completely red with anger.”

Her boyfriend, however, could “not comprehend why I’m so upset” and offered to order her another egg roll. At this point, however, it was midnight, and the woman didn’t want to “wait another 45 minutes for 1 egg roll.”

So, she went to bed angry and now writes that her boyfriend “does not understand why I’m so heated.”

Reddit commenters, however, understand the woman’s anger.

Writes one: “This would be a dealbreaker for me. It shows such a high level of selfishness and narcissism. And deliberate disrespect.”

Added another: “A very similar incident was my deal-breaker, we’re getting a divorce moment. It’s representative of so much more.”

Others offered that perhaps the boyfriend wasn’t intentionally being mean, but he managed to be selfish anyway.

“Cruelty was most likely not the point, but I do agree [a] high level of selfishness was the case here. Just because he is only thinking of himself doesn’t mean he was [trying] to be cruel to her. It’s not a logical leap to go from one to the other,” adds another commenter.
