Greedy Cat Sitting on Baby Swing Like a Throne Is the True King of the House

Published

on

Cats kind of like babies sometimes, if only because they really love their stuff. Baby stuff is awesome: Swings, strollers, and highchairs are great places to sit. They have lots of crinkly, twinkly, and dangly toys.

The seats are where it’s at, though. One cat recently decided that, specifically, he really likes the new baby’s swing. He took it over, and it really might as well be the Iron Throne:

Brit from Flowerchild Creations had no idea that this was going to happen, but honestly, it’s on par for cats. Kitties will sit just about anywhere, and when they find a tiny seat meant for a tiny human, they’re all over it. When pet parents set up the nursery, most of them know that their felines are going to set up shop.

Apparently, the actual baby doesn’t even use the swing very much at all. She much prefers to be with her mama as much as she can be. That works to the cat’s advantage, because he doesn’t really care for the baby, but he does care for her stuff.

This swing is the best, too: It doesn’t just go back and forth. It bounces, which is extra soothing. Unfortunately for Brit, it looks like she’s going to have to keep this swing up forever. It’s not his fault: He’s just so in love!

If your kitty is commandeering your baby’s things, you might have to lock them away. You can try staying on your pet and continuing to tell them to “get down,” but anyone who’s ever had a cat knows that’s a little harder than it sounds!
