Iraq in talks with Iran to allow oil tankers through Hormuz Strait, oil minister says
Iraq’s oil minister said Baghdad is in contact with Iran to allow some oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, the state news agency reported on Tuesday.
Iraq is also working to resume exports through the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline to Turkey as it seeks to offset disruptions to shipments caused by the Hormuz crisis, after some vessels were attacked off the Iraqi coast during transfers.

There has been no confirmation from Iran.
It follows reports the military also targeted top security chief Ali Larijani as well.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky has responded to the Iranian regime’s threats to Ukraine over the country’s support for its Gulf neighbours.
“This is nothing new,” he said in an interview with i24NEWS and Jerusalem Post.
“I have heard many different messages over the last four years. What’s important for us is that the United States and leaders of Middle Eastern countries asked for help with drone interceptors. They sought our expertise in air defense.
“Air defense is not about offensive capabilities. That’s why I said that we were ready to help with this expertise and defensive systems.
“We are not afraid of any messages of the kind. We have heard such messages every day for the last four years, for 12 years, to be precise. It’s not new for us. “

Israeli media say strike targeted Iran’s Larijani, fate unclear
Israeli media said on Tuesday that the military has targeted Iran’s security chief Ali Larijani, adding that it was not immediately clear whether he was killed or injured.
Iran has not yet commented on the report.

Iran parliament speaker says regional security can only be established by local states
The US military presence in the Middle East does not bring security, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf told state TV on Tuesday, pointing out that regional security needs to be established by regional countries.
“The face and order of the Middle East will change, but not according to Us plans. We, the Islamic countries of the region, will establish regional order and security in the economic and security dimensions,” Qalibaf said, adding that US forces need to leave the region.
