If you’re looking for something to put a smile on your face, this video of an adorable baby goat will do it. @Terry Farm shared the video of this little cutie yawning that will make you swoon. But that’s not it, she practices her big girl voice, too!
Although the video is only 12 seconds long, it’s full of cuteness. Make sure your sound is on so you can hear her tiny little bleat that she looks so proud of. We could watch this on a loop!
Talk about cuteness overload! Terry Farm’s video totally made our day, and we agree with what they said in the video’s caption, “I wish they could stay small and cute forever…” We certainly do, too; now we want a baby goat of our own!

Why Do Goats Bleat?
If you’ve ever been around goats, you know how noisy they can be. Bleating is their primary form of communication, and they bleat for various reasons. The Natural History Museum explains, “Goats bleat to communicate. They may vocalise when they are hungry, hurt or signalling danger to their herd. Mother goats may also call to their young kids when they get separated.” While bleats are usually loud, mother sheep use soft bleats to comfort their young or to call them closer when they’re unsure of their location.
Speaking of baby goats, a baby goat is called a kid, but did you know that a goat giving birth is said to be “kidding”? You’ve got to be kidding!
Here’s a fun fact about bleats: they often sound human-like! The article goes on to share, “But while some goats make noises that sound humanlike, they’re actually just bleating. Goats have a variety of bleats, and each individual has its own distinctive voice. Bleats can range in volume, pitch and depth.”
Goats are also known to scream. Goats Authority explains why, “There are several possible causes of a goat’s screams, including pain, fear, and hunger. While some screaming is normal goat behavior, prolonged or excessive screaming can be a sign of distress.”
Baby goats tend to scream when they’re lonely, and sometimes for attention. Just like toddlers, they can be very dramatic!
