Raising a baby can be downright stressful and all-consuming at times, but it can also be incredibly joyful and rewarding. Of course, the trenches of parenthood can feel more like a float in a lazy river when you have the right support system, and no one ever said that support could only come from humans.

Just ask the mama behind @pearlsragdolls! This pro kitten raiser has two babies and 19 fur babies of her own, but her newborn son, Maverick, has already been adopted by one of her ragdoll kittens. They cuddle together, play together, and share their parents’ affection, but soon enough, they’ll be growing up together, too!

Pass the tissues, please! This relationship between the Opal, the ragdoll kitten, and her baby is ‘paw-sitively’ priceless. Whether they’re cuddled up in the crib or testing out each other’s favorite napping spots, they learn more and more about each other every day.

Some people who are unfamiliar with cats think of them as aloof and independent, but Opal proves that cats can be just as loving and affectionate as any other pet.

“Maverick is already doing a great job as an emotional support baby for the kittens,” one commenter joked. He was born for this life!
