Longhaired Dachshunds Offer Human Baby Emotional Support During First Steps on Walk

Time goes a lot faster when you bring little ones into the world. One moment, you’re tending to a crying newborn in the middle of the night, and the next, they’re moving out on their own with big city dreams and stars in their eyes. OK, so there’s a whole lot that happens in between, and one of those is going for a walk after taking those exciting first steps.
There’s no better hype team than Longhaired Dachshunds, Wilbur and Palmer. The doggy duo recently welcomed their human baby sister into the house and have already made a lot of sweet memories together. Now, they’re right by her side as she walks with the help of Mom, and it’s too pure.
Bless the Dachshund brothers for offering the best kind of support. They may be silent, but just being there is loud, and that little girl feels it. Though the baby only started walking a few weeks prior to this post, she’s well on her way to doing it all on her own!
The loving Dachshunds follow her lead, taking things as slow as the little girl needs. They’ve been fans of hers from the beginning, but this is a heartwarming sight.

Going for a leisurely stroll with their new sister isn’t the only thing the Doxies do. They’re with her through all of her milestones like any good big brothers would be.
Patient, kind, and attentive, it’s almost like Wilbur and Palmer were waiting for the chance to shine, and they’re doing it as if they were born for this role. One day, little sis will understand how incredible their loyalty and devotion is. For now, they’re just busy having fun!
Dachshunds Are the Perfect Family Dogs
Wilbur is a prime example of how loving and tender a Dachshund can be, and now he gets to really show those things off. Known for being vigilant watchdogs with a big dog bark, these pint-sized pups pack a lot of heart into their long, stocky bodies.
The curious, spunky, and friendly pooches are family dogs to their core, standing idly by your side with devout loyalty and proven boldness that once garnered them spots as hunters of dangerous prey.
Like Wilbur and Palmer, these dogs are game for anything—including helping baby girl walk—and you can’t put a price tag on those memories.
