Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, has challenged President Donald Trump’s eldest sons, Don Jr. and Eric, to a cage fight.

Channel 5, a media company operated by independent reporter and social media influencer Andrew Callaghan, posted a video to its Instagram Thursday featuring Biden calling out Trump’s sons.

According to Biden, Callaghan told him he would organize the fight for his “Channel 5 Carnival.”

“I told him I’d do it — 100 percent in if he can pull it off. And if he can’t, I’m still coming,” Biden said.

If either of the Trump sons were to accept his challenge, it’s not yet clear when or where the fight would take place, or if Biden would be facing them at a handicap or if he’d be assigned a tag-team partner.

If it occurs, it would likely dethrone the president’s planned UFC 250 event on the White House lawn as the strangest cage match of 2026. That event, scheduled for June 14, will celebrate not only the U.S.’s 250th anniversary year, but also the president’s 80th birthday.

Ilia Topuria, the current UFC Lightweight Champion, is expected to battle Interim Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje in a title unification bout during Trump’s birthday event.

Biden has been invited to join the last leg of Callaghan’s tour, which will include stops in Phoenix, San Diego, and Albuquerque at the end of April.

“Hey guys, Hunter Biden here. I just got a call from Andrew Callaghan. He asked me to come out on the Channel 5 carnival tour at the end of month,” Biden says in the Instagram video.

After announcing the dates, he said that Callaghan was “trying to organize a cage match, me versus Eric and Don Jr.”

He said that he thinks that Callaghan also has “a lot of other surprises up his sleeve,” but provided no details as to what those may include.

If Trump’s sons do end up duking it out, Biden will likely be at a bit of a disadvantage due to his age. Biden is 56-years-old, nearly a decade older than Don Jr., 48, and 14 years older than Eric, 42.

There’s no evidence to suggest that any of the men have any formal combat sports training.

It’s not the first time rivals from outside of the combat sports world have considered settling their differences in the cage.

Back in 2023, X CEO Elon Musk and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg were gearing up for a brawl, though the battle of the tech titans hasn’t actually materialized.

The Independent has requested comment from the White House and the Trump Organization.
