All moms have had “those days” where you feel pulled in a million different directions. One child needs a note for school, another wants you to watch them do a cartwheel, and one just skinned their knee. I’m sure mothers all over the world have longed for a clone every now and then to help them out and maybe get a break.

Same goes for canine moms. Dog mamas have massive demands on them from a full litter of pups that are all the same age and at the same level of neediness. Imagine having to feed six kids at once! That’s what Parker the Golden Retriever is dealing with in this relatable TikTok from @parkersgoldenlife.

Parker was lying on her side as six adorable puppies (there could have been more – it’s hard to tell!) crawled all over her for food and attention. The mama dog was completely calm with her kids yet looked like she was in dire need of some alone time.

“When you’re having a bad day, just remember this girl’s is always worse,” the onscreen text joked. “Just watch her practicing her breathing exercises.”

Her pups continued hoisting themselves on their mom, oblivious to Parker’s inner wish for space. The video concluded with the gorgeous Golden lifting her face in the air as if trying to get in one good, cleansing breath to relax.

Thankfully, it seems that Parker does take some time for herself. In a previous TikTok, the pooch parent was slowly drinking from the outside water bowl, clearly not in a rush, while her pups were all scurrying around the door.

“Just a reminder to put your own oxygen mask on first,” the onscreen text read, sharing a classic tip that moms have to take care of themselves in order to take care of their kids.

Parents usually have endless to-do lists, which makes it easy to overlook self-care. We’re on duty 24/7 in those very early days of infancy, yet as children — and puppies – get older, gradually encouraging their independence is beneficial for their growth and a parent’s well-being.
