Golden Retrievers aren’t just said to be one of the best dog breeds ever because they’re cute. Don’t get it twisted, they are very, very cute, but they’re also genuinely good dogs. Whether you’re alone or you have a whole family, a Golden might fit well into your life!

Recently, one Golden Retriever proved that this breed can even be exceptionally good with babies. While he was having tummy time, his baby brother was lucky enough to get the snuggle of his life:

Winston the Golden Retriever might just be the cutest pup ever. He looks at that baby with nothing but love, and it’s perfect!

Winston is a little less than a year old, so he’s still a baby himself! However, he quickly graduated to big brother when his mom had her baby! They got Winston while she was still in her first trimester of pregnancy, so he was there for all of it. His most formative months were happening while she was pregnant!

It’s no surprise that, when the baby finally arrived, he was just in love. Ever since the baby was born in June, the two of them have basically been inseparable. He likes to be wherever he is. That way, he can keep an eye on him just in case something goes wrong!

He doesn’t even mind when the baby grabs at him. What he does mind, however, are his noisy toys:

He doesn’t mind the actual baby noises, but those toys? Woof!

Golden Retrievers Are Gentle Pups

When they’re super young puppies, Golden Retrievers are maximum troublemakers. They love to run, play, and chew on things, and it can be somewhat hard to get them to calm down. However, as they get older and they internalize their training, things get easier.

At their core, Golden Retrievers are kind, caring, and gentle dogs. They care a lot about what their humans think, and they want everyone to be happy. Babies in particular make great snuggle partners, especially before they can really do a lot of moving around.

Gentle as they are, you should never leave them alone with your baby, just to be safe. Luckily, mom was right there!
