Cockatoo Trying To ‘Grab’ Dad’s Hand Is Like a Real Life Claw Machine

Claw machines are amazing. They’re one of my favorite things in the world, and I would argue that I’m good at them, though they’re simply rigged. My worst grabs are not at all my fault! The machine didn’t want me to win, there was nothing I could do!

One house has a claw machine that wins every single time. It’s in the form of a Cockatoo who loves to snuggle! When his parents were watching TV together, he decided he wasn’t comfortable enough. Naturally, he played claw machine until he got what he wanted:

Sir Bentley gets everything he wants, even if he has to work for it a little bit. They’d never say no to their favorite bird wanting some snuggles!

Bentley is a rescue bird! He’s only been in his forever home for about five months, but he’s already having tons of fun there! He’s an only child, and he’s very well-loved. He spends most of his day outside of his cage, walking around and being doted on by his mom and dad.

To simply be out of his cage isn’t enough, though. He doesn’t just want to be free: he wants to snuggle. When his parents were watching TV, they were nice enough to let him join and sit on the arm rest of his dad’s chair.

However, he wanted to take “arm rest” more literally, and he used his claws to help! He grabbed onto that Apple Watch like he spotted it in a claw machine! Then they repaid him for his sweetness with an area rug he absolutely hates:

He is so me. My mom loves to bring home new rugs, and sometimes they really get to me.

Cockatoos Are Very Needy

Cockatoos are not beginner birds by any means. They have very high support needs: you have to play with them, they need a very specific diet, and they are always loud. Even if they’re perfectly happy and have everything they want, they’re never going to be “quiet” birds. Being happy only makes them louder!

Luckily, Bentley’s parents were ready for that. They’d do anything for their real-life claw machine!
