Baby’s Funny Way of Mimicking Pit Bull Brother Is Too Cute to Resist

Get a dog, they say. A family dog! It will be an amazing thing for the whole family, especially the kids. Dog lovers know how true this is. This video gives even more proof.

This sweet baby girl is already best friends with her pit bull brother. She may not be saying many words yet, but she does speak dog … and it’s the sweetest thing.

Mom captions the clip, “When your baby starts doing this and you realize ….”

We see a few moments of baby sitting on her play mat with dad in background watching TV. Mama’s got the camera rolling as baby’s arms are up — she’s engaged her core muscles while wearing that cute blue onesie, a sweet yellow bow in her hair.

And we hear her …. “Ahhh wooof! Ahhh woof! Ahhhh woof!” She threw her whole body into the sound.

Cut to their pit bull pup looking out the window making the same exact woofing noises.

How darling!

“My second child’s first word was ‘meow’ and the cat answered her. She spoke cat before she spoke English,” one commenter shared.

Another added, “She’s bilingual already!”

Mom had some good laughs over these comments, and so have we.

Preparing for Baby’s First Words

The truth is that it’s hard to prepare for baby’s first words, but they tend to be muttered around 10 months old or a little later. Most parents have their phones handy, so catching the milestone on video happens much more now than in … the olden days.

There’s babbling, but then there are the moments where the word is said with a bit of distinction. Babies love to make all kinds of sounds that may seem like a word, but it’s baby-speak. Still, it’s communication and the foundation of fluent talking.

Clues for actual first words are that baby said it in context, to mean something specific, it’s been said a few times, and they said it on their own without repeating another person. For example, baby pointed at the cat and said “cat.” Or keeps saying “dada” whenever she sees her daddy.

Which brings up one of the most common first words — dada. Others include the words mom, dad, papa, ball, bye, hi, no, bottle, milk, dog, and woof woof.

This baby clearly knows her “woof woof” and we think will graduate to all the other common first words really soon.

Her choice shows the strength of her bond with her beautiful pup.
